I resonate with the ambiguity of the Summer Solstice. It's the first anniversary of my novel set in the forest here, but also the anniversary of divorce and of A's dad's death. This year another family member is in hospital gravely ill. I think there is something about the fire element -- the joyous burning, but also the furious burning -- Sun and Mars -- raised emotions. And also the sense that the year has reached this peak and now moves towards the dark. Complex and full of paradox.
Thank you for commenting on this Jan, though sorry to hear about the family member – someone who stayed with you not too long ago?
Yes, I think the summer solstice is brimming with intensity and heightened everythings; there's a little relief as it starts to loosen its grip, perhaps? Rx

Another person :) And yes -- that loosening of grip feels like relief and release when it comes, despite the beauties of summer. x
Happy solstice, Roselle 🍀
Thank you, Françoise. It was good to see you, albeit briefly.
